A Piece of Art
On days that feel a little uninspired, mundane, I often turn to my phone, my apps (for better or for worse) and look for a little distraction from it all.
If you’re anything like me, over time you collect, and try to curate a variety of accounts that offer you pieces of the world you want to see, or learn about, or connect to.
A handful of artists, a few fashion-minded influencers, a variety of comedians and journalists, a selection of astrologists and channelers, tattoo artists, florists, musicians, manicurists, reality stars, aspirational-like-minded-celebs, and of course, a few jewellery accounts. A collection of your self, reflected in others.
While the collective wisdom is typically to unplug from our phones, I can’t help but sometimes just need to unplug from my reality, by way of a good book, a binge-worthy tv show, or just scrolling my favourite apps.
And so, my suggestion to you (and to myself) is to curate a collection of accounts that rouse your creativity or pique your curiosity. And, if you’re lucky, each time you wander back from your apps to your reality, instead of feeling low, you’ll feel a little more energized, have gained a little more perspective, and be a little more inspired. (At least we can hope.)
In case of interest, here are a few of my favourites to follow.
